The Denkyirahene, Ɔdɛɛfoɔ Boa Amponsem IV, has commissioned a new branch of the Subin-Akwaboso Community Bank PLC at Diaso, the capital of the Upper Denkyira West District in the Central Region, to expand access to banking and financial services in the area.
The new branch, commissioned on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, is expected to provide residents, businesses and communities in Diaso and surrounding areas with greater access to formal financial services and support local economic activity.
At the commissioning ceremony, the Denkyirahene commended the Board, Management and staff of the bank for their commitment and hard work, which he said had contributed to the institution’s growth within a relatively short period.
He described the bank’s expansion as a source of pride for the people and evidence of what could be achieved through local initiative, commitment and determination.
The traditional leader urged the bank to maintain its commitment to providing quality services to customers and supporting economic development in the communities within its operational area.

The Member of Parliament for Upper Denkyira West, Mr Rudolf Amoako Gyampah, also congratulated the Board, Management and staff of the bank on the opening of the new branch.
He expressed the hope that the expansion would enable the bank to serve more residents and businesses and contribute to the growth of economic activities in the district.
The commissioning attracted traditional leaders, business owners, indigenes, community members and other stakeholders.
The opening of the Diaso branch is expected to improve financial inclusion in the Upper Denkyira West District by bringing banking services closer to residents and businesses that may otherwise have to travel considerable distances to access them.
It is also expected to provide opportunities for local businesses and entrepreneurs to access banking facilities and strengthen their financial transactions as economic activities in the district expand.
