Actor Alex Kofi Adu, better known by his stage name Agya Koo, from Ghana, has declared his admiration for NDC flagbearer and former president John Dramani Mahama.
This truth was revealed by the brilliant Kumawood actor during a live band performance at a funeral.
Speaking to the assembly at the burial site, Agya Koo disclosed that he kept in constant contact with John Mahama.
He said that the flagbearer of the NDC had even invited him to talk with him at his house.
“We have never had an election in Ghana before and fight. When Nana Addo is in power, I am part of the government, if Mahama also comes to power, I will be part of the government.
“You don’t like John Mahama more than I do. He even invites me to his home, and we sit in his hall to have conversations. Do you like him more than I do?” Agya stated.
His admission comes after an event at the same funeral home where the audience yelled “Mahama” during the actor’s performance.
He was upset with the course of events and abruptly stopped singing as a result.
The actor can be seen stopping his performance in a video posted on X in order to speak with the guy who yelled Mahama’s name. It is known that Agya Koo publicly endorsed President Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party.

His declaration of love for John Mahama and his revelation of his meetings with the former president, however, appear to have happened after the actor was contacted and asked to return to the stage.
The performer, who doesn’t seem to be enjoying the performance, clarified that a few of the band’s important members
“We are all Ghanaians, and we are all tolerant. We have members of the NDC in our band, but we are all working together,” he said while addressing the crowd.
He brought up the fact that the drummers are NDC members, whereas one of the band members was formerly a teacher and is currently an NPP activist.
“This lady used to be a teacher in the Central Region, but now she is an organizer in the NPP. The drummers you see here are also members of the NDC, but we are all doing one work and on the same team because we are all tolerant and are all Ghanaians,” he emphasized.
He then questioned the person who chanted, saying, “Why all the noise and chants? Would elections be held today? Are we voting today?”
