Charles Nii Armah Mensah, better known as Shatta Wale, and three accomplices are scheduled to return in court today, Tuesday, December 7, 2021.
On Tuesday, October 19, 2021, Shatta Wale was arrested for faking a gun attack.
He was charged with spreading false information and causing fear and panic and was remanded in Ankaful Prison for five days. He was subsequently given self-recognizance bail of GH100,000 by the court.
The three conspirators were also given GH100,000 bail each, with one surety.
In a similar event, hiplife singer Samuel Frimpong, commonly known as Medikal, is scheduled to return in court today to resume his trial after his accused brandishing of a weapon in a social media video.
Medikal, who is accused of flaunting weapons and ammunition, has pleaded not guilty.
He was charged with exhibiting weapons and ammunition and was also placed in jail for five days.
He was later given bail in the amount of GH100,000 with one surety.
