The Nollywood actress Ini Dima-Okojie revealed that the fibroids she had surgically removed in 2020 have returned.
Ini posted a heartfelt video on her Instagram profile on July 17, 2024, describing her journey and the most recent improvements to her health.
Ini explained how her myomectomy three years prior had gone smoothly, with her doctor successfully removing every fibroid, and how she had recovered well thereafter.
She called her current situation “disheartening” and stated that she would rather utilize medicine to reduce the fibroid than have surgery anytime soon.
“It’s been three years since the surgery but unfortunately, the fibroids are back which is very disheartening. It hasn’t been the easiest couple of months but I am ok.
“I have come to terms with it and definitely don’t want to do any surgery soon. This time I want to take a holistic approach in shrinking the fibroids backed by faith,” she said in the video.
Ini pledged to offer updates on her condition as time went on and stated that she was ready and eager to accept any health advice on how to manage her fibroid.

She kindly offered to assist medical screenings for twenty women in similar circumstances as a way of showing them her empathy and support and to help them understand their current state of health.
