Afrobeats musician Wendy Shay has addressed her management and CEO of Ruff Town Records, Bullet, regarding a purported “diss” song.
Recently, there was tension between the artist and Bullet because to a disagreement about the terms of their contract renewal.
Since a few weeks ago, Wendy Shay has not collaborated with Ruff Town Records. During their conflict, she published the song “Who Cares.”
The song was published during the period of the singer’s argument with Bullet, “African Money.”
Bullet asserted in an Instagram post earlier in June 2024 that he was the target of Wendy Shay’s “Who Cares” song, which she published during their argument.
He made this statement while praising Sammy Flex for his “outstanding” work in managing Shatta Wale and highlighting the difficulties faced by artists’ managers in their line of work.
“I celebrate you Sammy Flex, you are my best manager of the year. Forget everybody and chop your money. Me sef dem drop diss dong give me but who cares,” he stated.

But Wendy Shay has denied this claim made by Bullet. The musician revealed in a June 26 YouTube video chat with DJ Slim that the song was written as a result of their argument.
She went on to say that while their argument served as inspiration for the song’s composition, Bullet is not specifically mentioned in it.
“The situation inspired me to write the songs but it is not directed to Bullet. It’s not like I’m giving stray bullet to Bullet. It’s just that as a creative when you go through something you just take the emotions out of it and write something out if it…I understand why he feels that way though,” Wendy Shay explained.
Additionally, Wendy Shay revealed that she is now back to working with Ruff Town records after her conflict with Bullet was settled.
