The New Patriotic Party (NPP) held balloting for its flagbearer hopeful ahead of the delegate conference which will be held on 4th November to select their flagbearer for the party
In the balloting in Accra on Wednesday, 13th September 2023, Kennedy Agyapong picked the first slot followed by the Vice President of Ghana Dr Mahamudu Bawumia who picked the second slot.
The Minister for Agriculture Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto picked the third slot while former MP for Mampong, Francis Addai Nimo picked the fourth slot.
Speaking to the press after the balloting, Kennedy Agyapong expressed a great sign of belief that his picking the first slot gives an indication from God that he should be given the mantle to lead the NPP.
To him, the slot he garnered also shows that he will win the NPP flagbearership come November 4, 2023.
