It’s been two years since Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck took another chance on love.
The couple eloped in a private ceremony in Las Vegas on July 16, 2022. As their second anniversary approaches, it’s unclear if they will follow the tradition of exchanging cotton gifts.
Following Lopez’s decision to cancel her planned concert tour in May, the couple has been seen on opposite sides of the world for much of the summer. Most recently, Lopez spent the weekend in New York, while Affleck was in Los Angeles.
Earlier this month, they listed their California home for sale amid reports that they may be living apart.
Despite ongoing speculation about potential issues in their marriage, Lopez and Affleck have remained silent on the matter. However, the rumors continue to stir up interest in the pop culture sphere.

December 2001
Lopez and Affleck first met on the set of the romantic comedy Gigli, where they played criminals working together and developed a real-life friendship.
April 2002
Rumors of a romantic relationship between Ben and Jen surfaced when Affleck took out a full-page ad in trade publications to promote their film and commend her performance.
“It has been nothing but an honor and a pleasure to work with you,” the ad read. “I only wish I were lucky enough to be in all your movies.” Signed: “With love, respect, and gratitude, Ben Affleck.”

July 2002
In the summer of 2002, Lopez and Cris Judd filed for divorce, though they had reportedly been separated for some time before then.
“Jennifer Lopez and Cris Judd have announced they have resolved all issues arising out of their marriage,” the couple’s lawyers stated. “The resolution was extremely amicable … The two will remain friends.”
And thus began the next chapter for these two lovers.
