The chiefs, queenmothers and members of the Denkyira Agona Royal Family within the Denkyira Traditional Area have honoured the Denkyirahemaa, Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III, and the Denkyira Agona Abusuapanin, Nana Ponfo Agyemang III, for their dedicated service and commitment to the development and unity of the Denkyira Kingdom.
At a colourful ceremony held on Saturday, 18th July 2026, at Amponsemfie in Jukwa, the royal family presented citations and other gifts to the two distinguished traditional leaders in recognition of their years of selfless leadership and invaluable contributions to the affairs of Denkyira.
According to the organisers, the honour was in appreciation of the significant roles played by Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III and Nana Ponfo Agyemang III in safeguarding the traditions of Denkyira and their successful efforts that culminated in the installation of the 26th Denkyirahene, Ɔdɛɛfoɔ Boa Amponsem IV.
The gathering also used the occasion to formally pay homage to and warmly welcome Ɔdɛɛfoɔ Boa Amponsem IV, pledging their unwavering loyalty and support to his reign.
Speaking on behalf of the Denkyira Agona chiefs and royal family, representatives commended the Denkyirahemaa and the Abusuapanin for their wisdom, sacrifice and steadfast leadership, describing their efforts as instrumental in preserving peace, unity and the rich cultural heritage of the Denkyira Kingdom.
The event brought together chiefs, queenmothers, elders, members of the royal family and invited guests, who joined in celebrating the achievements of the honourees and reaffirmed their collective commitment to supporting the new Denkyirahene in advancing the progress and development of Denkyiraman.
