Unveiling the year-long programme of activities during the launch of the Cedi@60 on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Pandit Johnson Asiama emphasized that the celebration is aimed at involving the public to understanding the monetary sovereignty and the BoG’s vital role in Ghana’s economic stability.

The activities will include exhibitions to tell the story of the journey of the Ghana Cedi, public lectures, and school tours that will engage students, professionals, and communities on the importance of monetary sovereignty.
