A couple, Mr. Kwabena Kwarkye Boateng and Theresah Haruna who have been together for twenty-three years on Tuesday, February 14 emerged as the ultimate winner of the 2023 edition of ATLFM’s Love Gift Box.
The programme which was on the theme “Memories of love” was held to create a platform for people to share their love stories with the world and also for the one with the most touching love story to be awarded even as the world commemorated Valentine’s Day.
This year, couples were to form words with the letters in VALENTINE.
The winning couple triumphed over four other competitors to take the first position.
Theresah Haruna who partook in the competition using the valentine described the husband with in the following manner.
V- Viral. Viral because he has the strength of a man. When we met in the first, let’s say four years of our marriage, we had three boys. So that’s what I mean by his viral.
A – Alert. He is alert; wherever he is, he tries to look around and he finds out things.
L – Loyal. He’s loyal being here and having been with him for 23 years, I don’t think there is anything more to say.
E – Energetic. He’s energetic.
N – Naughty. That’s on the humorous side.
T – Tough. He is tough and very strong in all circumstances.
I – Inquisitive. He’s been asking me a lot of questions about what we are coming to do here, in fact, I even felt like I was in the witness box in a courtroom.
N- He’s a No nonsense Man.
E – Eager. He’s also eager whenever you promise him anything he wants to see that it gets to the right conclusion. And whenever he promises to do anything, he’s that eager about it, he makes sure that it gets accomplished.
The winning couple, Mr. Kwabena Kwarkye Boateng and Theresah Haruna beat the first runner-up to take this position because their love story had ended in marriage after meeting on Campus and giving birth to two boys before completing school.
For their prize, the couples were awarded a special buffet dinner at Elmina Beach Resort and other consolation prizes from sponsors of the programme.
The First Runner up, Evangelist Samuel Mantey and Philomena Mantey who have been married for 16 years also narrated a heartfelt love story.
According to them, supporting your spouse at all times is the best way to maintain happiness in marriage and relationships.
For their prize, they received a special buffet dinner at the Elmina beach resort, a pizza pack, and clothing from sponsors of the program.
The third couple who were also gifted cupcakes, clothing, and a buffet dinner at Elmina beach resort also expressed the need to be always affectionate to each other as lovers.
Benedict Jojo Afful and Samilia Ansah are students of the University of Cape Coast who fell in love after a few years of being friends.
Their love for each other served as a linkage that championed their participation in this year’s edition of ATLFM’s Love Gift Box.
Meanwhile, the fourth couple was awarded a dinner at the Cape Coast Stadium Restaurant and clothing from sponsors of the program while the fifth couple received a hamper and clothing from sponsors of the program.
