American music icon and one of the judges of “American Idol”, Katy Perry, has mentioned that she’s hanging her boots as a judge from the epic music reality show.
During Monday’s show of the reality singing competition, the pop star and seasoned “Idol” judge encountered a wardrobe malfunction when her meticulously crafted silver top seemed to be ripping off.
Perry, taking precautionary measures, pressed her clothing against her body with her arms and even resorted to using a pillow for added coverage at one juncture.

She has thus revealed in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight that her situation was just a moment for TV and not an issue of wardrobe malfunction.
Katy Perry further added that she was also calling it quits as a judge on one of the most successful music reality shows, “American Idol”.
“I think it’s the physical expression inside of me that just wants to burst at the seams,” Perry explained.

The “I Kissed a Girl” hitmaker also added that she’s quitting in order to work on her new album and not probably go on vacation as some may purport.
“I’m just trying to make space for other things. It’s not like me ending this show means I’m going to go retire on an island, even though that would be fabulous.”
“I’m gonna go to work,” she added, in a nod to her recently teased next album, currently referred to as “KP6.”
