Deputy General Secretary (Operations) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mustapha Gbande, has called for calm among party members and supporters, assuring them that the leadership is taking steps to address issues relating to employment and internal cohesion.

His appeal comes in response to growing concerns from sections of the party and the public who have expressed frustration over joblessness since the Mahama administration assumed office.

In a statement released on Tuesday, October 14, Mr. Gbande acknowledged the mounting discontent within the party, stressing that the leadership values all forms of feedback and grievances, whether from members or non-members.

He reaffirmed the NDC’s commitment to prioritizing the welfare of its grassroots base while working diligently to resolve the challenges facing both the party and the government.

Part of the statement read, “We only ask that you grant us the space and time to find lasting solutions, even if gradually. Our government continues to make steady progress, regardless of the challenges.”

He urged members to remain measured in their public expressions and communication, assuring them that their voices have been heard.

“Let us therefore remain calm and united. On behalf of H.E President John Dramani Mahama and the leadership of our great party, we stand fully with you. Remember, patience and resilience always triumph in the end,” he said.
