The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong, has formally petitioned the party’s National Disciplinary Committee over the conduct of Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC.
In a press release dated September 30, 2025, Mr. Kodua raised concerns about what he described as “unbecoming actions” by Mr. Baffoe, stressing that such conduct was “gravely detrimental to the image, unity, and integrity of the party.”
The petition highlights three key issues:
- Defamation of a Senior Party Member: Mr. Baffoe is accused of making disparaging remarks about Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong in a public forum.
- False Allegations Against the General Secretary: He allegedly claimed that the General Secretary concealed a report.
- Misrepresentation of Committee Findings: Mr. Baffoe is said to have disclosed and misrepresented the contents of a disciplinary committee report.
According to the statement, the petition has been forwarded to the National Disciplinary Committee for immediate action. Party officials insist the move is aimed at safeguarding discipline and ensuring that internal grievances are addressed through proper structures.
The development is expected to intensify attention on the NPP’s internal dynamics as the party works to maintain cohesion ahead of the 2028 general elections.
