As excitement builds for the Made by Google 2025 event, the spotlight is on the upcoming Pixel 10 series, set to launch before Apple’s iPhone 17, which is expected to be unveiled in September.
Google aims to expand the Pixel lineup, likely introducing enhanced generative AI capabilities with its Gemini technology. The event is scheduled for Wednesday at 10 a.m. PT.
Anticipate a Gemini Boost
Following several AI-related updates at its developer conference in May, Google is expected to showcase additional Gemini features during the Pixel 10 event. A recent promotional YouTube video hinted at playful jabs at Apple’s unfulfilled promises regarding AI advancements for the iPhone.
Among the rumored features is “Camera Coach,” which would provide real-time tips for improving photography by suggesting optimal angles and lighting. There are also discussions about a conversational photo editing tool, allowing users to request specific adjustments like brightness changes or background alterations.
Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro XL
The standard Pixel 10 is anticipated to receive significant upgrades, notably a dedicated telephoto lens, a feature previously exclusive to the Pro models. Following leaks of renders showcasing this third rear lens, Google has teased the Pixel 10, confirming major camera enhancements.
All models in the lineup are expected to be powered by the new Tensor G5 processor, marking the beginning of the Gemini era and enhancing performance and efficiency compared to the previous Tensor G4 chip.
While the basic design is likely to resemble the Pixel 9 series, the displays are expected to remain the same, with the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro featuring 6.3-inch screens and the Pixel 10 Pro XL offering a larger 6.8-inch display.
Pro models are expected to see improvements in camera quality, video performance, and battery size, potentially allowing for faster charging and addressing battery longevity compared to flagship offerings from Apple and Samsung.
Additionally, the Pixel 10 series may support Qi2 wireless charging, making it one of the few Android phones compatible with magnetic accessories. Google is also rumored to launch a “Pixelsnap” phone case featuring a central magnetic ring.

Pixel 10 Pro Fold
Rumors suggest that Google’s upcoming foldable device will feature a larger 6.4-inch cover display and an 8-inch main screen. Enhancements to the hinge strength and thinner bezels are also expected for a sleeker design.
An exciting possibility is an IP68 rating, which would provide dust and water resistance—a first for this device. Leaked specifications indicate this feature may indeed be included. Like other Pixel 10 models, the Pro Fold will likely be powered by the G5 chip and include the latest Gemini AI features. Improvements in the camera system may include a 48-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, along with enhanced battery life.
The Pixel 10 is expected to be available in Moonstone and Jade colors.
The Pixel Watch and Pixel Buds
Wearables will also be highlighted at Google’s event, with the Pixel Watch 4 rumored to feature a thicker design, extended battery life, and smaller bezels. New health and fitness-tracking capabilities, including an upgraded blood oxygen (SpO2) monitoring function, are also anticipated.
Leaks regarding the Pixel Buds 2a suggest they will be available in new colors—Fog Light, Hazel, Iris, and Strawberry—along with features like active noise cancellation. The Pixel Buds Pro 2 are expected to debut in a new Sterling color.
