The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts has emphatically rebutted allegations circulating on social media that impugn the integrity and professionalism of Minister Dzifa Gomashie.
In a strongly-worded statement released by the Ministry’s Public Relations Unit, it categorically dismissed the claims on social media as “wholly unfounded” and “gravely misleading,” aimed at tarnishing the hard-earned reputation of Minister Dzifa Gomashie in the public eye.
“These assertions, which depict the Minister in a disrespectful and unprofessional light, are not only baseless but also misleading,” the statement asserted. “They misrepresent an individual who has consistently exhibited humility, dedication, and unwavering commitment to advancing our nation’s cultural landscape.”

Highlighting Minister Gomashie’s proven track record of transparency, mutual respect, and genuine dedication to promoting Ghana’s cultural heritage, the Ministry emphasized that interactions with stakeholders, industry leaders, and the public have consistently been conducted with professionalism and cordiality.

According to the Ministry, the dissemination of these allegations is attributed to a “specific social media figure,” whose motivations, the Ministry alleges, are grounded in sensationalism and personal gain rather than factual accuracy.
“We call upon the public to exercise vigilance and to distance themselves from individuals and content creators who prioritize sensationalism over truth, and who seek attention irresponsibly, jeopardizing public trust and unity,” the statement urged.
Moreover, the Ministry underscored that despite the transient impact of such misinformation, truth ultimately prevails. It encouraged the public to continue supporting the Ministry’s initiatives while remaining steadfast against efforts to derail its mission.
Concluding the statement, Delassie Mabel Awuku, Head of Public Relations, reiterated the Ministry’s unwavering commitment to transparency and constructive dialogue. The Ministry warned against attempts to sow division or distract from its mandate of preserving, celebrating, and enhancing Ghana’s tourism, culture, and creative arts sectors.
