Renowned highlife artist Fameye has disclosed that he invested over $15,000 in preparations for his performance at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
He captivated audiences with an elaborate set featuring custom-made costumes, dynamic props, and backup dancers, performing some of his biggest hits from 2024.

In an interview with Hitz FM on July 22, 2025, Fameye explained that he took significant steps to ensure a quality show, even hiring two directors to oversee the performance.

“I’m one of the few artists who spent so much—over $15,000. We had to create costumes for myself and the dancers, build the set and props, and pay the directors,” he stated.

He mentioned that all expenses were pre-approved in a budget submitted to the TGMA organizers, adding, “And they did well,” indicating that the execution met his expectations despite the high costs.
However, Fameye expressed disappointment regarding his performance at the TGMA, citing technical malfunctions that hampered his delivery. In a separate interview with Kwame Dadzie on Hitz FM, he noted that several issues disrupted the flow of his set, preventing him from delivering the captivating performance he had envisioned.
