Ghanaian songstress Gyakie has shared that her motivation in the music industry goes beyond passion, driven by a strong desire to succeed and make a lasting impact. In a recent interview on Luv FM’s DriveTime with Melvin Da Enigma, she stated,
“My music career is not just about passion; I’m hungry for it! Passion can waver, but my drive pushes me to overcome challenges.”
Despite being the daughter of Highlife legend Nana Acheampong, Gyakie emphasizes that her journey has been challenging. “I was really a hustler. My father taught me to forge my own path.”
Her determination to succeed independently has shaped her artistry. Gyakie also announced that her upcoming album, After Midnight, is complete and deeply personal, exploring themes of love beyond romantic relationships. “I love to see people happy, and I want to share the positive aspects of love.”
