The Central Regional Health Directorate through the benevolence of some private facility owners has received the Sanaa Lodge hotel to be used as a quarantine facility.
According to the Regional Minister, Mr. Kwamena Duncan, the owner of the facility, Professor James Small and his partner Rabbi Kohen Halevi, approached his office to offer the facility which is currently not in use to the regional directorate as their contribution to managing the pandemic in the region.
In this regard, a forty bed facility and operating area for health personnel have been released for use.
Handing over the facility to the health directorate, the Minister expressed joy in the thoughtful benevolence and patriotism demonstrated by the owners of the facility.

“In my entire service as minister this is one thing that I would never forget. I want to use this opportunity to express our profound appreciation and gratitude to Professor Small and Rabbi Kohen for this .”
The minister in his bid to support the initiative has ensured there is electricity and water water supply connected to the facility in order to make it fit for purpose.
On behalf of the Central Regional Health directorate, the Chief Regional Pharmacist, Mr. Peter Kyeremanteng said the facility comes in handy to solve the challenges the directorate is facing during this pandemic. He commended the Minister for his earnest contributions within the period.
recounted how difficult it has been for the directorate to get a facility for such purposes he said ”When the pandemic broke we thought it was going to end soon but as we can see, the number keeps on increasing. Initially, we had to look for places we could keep those who fell victim, but everywhere we went we had some difficulties. This gesture willsolve most of the challenges we have been encountering .”
He also assured that the facility will be put to good use and also bring in, sufficient health professionals to take care of the unfortunate ones that may fall victim to the pandemic.
