The National Service Scheme has issued a strong caution to the public, particularly prospective National Service Personnel to desist from paying any form of monies to persons for national service postings.
This caution according to the Scheme becomes prudent as a result of notifications it has received of some unscrupulous persons claiming to be agents or moderators for special postings for national service.
The Scheme, in a statement signed by its Corporate Affairs Director, Armstrong Essah said these “perpetrators extort monies from prospective national service personnel with the view of assisting them to be posted to their preferred institutions”.

According to the service, there is nothing like “special posting and scheme has no moderators or agents to that effect”.
Management has thus admonished prospective personnel to report such perpetrators to security personnel or agencies.
Personnel for national service postings must have completed tertiary institutions and submitted their details to educational institutions to be forwarded to the National Service Scheme for posting.
