Ghanaian music sensation Stonebwoy congratulates and extends a warm welcome to King Promise for clinching the prestigious Artiste of the Year award at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards and joining the table of winners.
The event, held amidst fierce competition and a dazzling display of talent, saw King Promise emerge victorious, marking his debut entry into the league of AOTY winners.
In an Instagram post, Stonebwoy expressed his admiration, stating, “Congratulations @IamKingPromise on your well-deserved win and for joining the ranks of AOTY champions. You’re Welcome.”
The rivalry between Stonebwoy and King Promise had intensified after a close battle during the 2024 edition of the awards, where Stonebwoy claimed the top spot. This year, however, King Promise faced stiff competition not only from Stonebwoy but also from notable artists including Joe Mettle, Black Sheriff, King Paluta, Team Eternity, and Kwaku Smoke.

King Promise’s exceptional talent shone brightly as he not only secured the Artiste of the Year accolade but also swept multiple other awards. His chart-topping hit ‘Paris’ earned him the Afropop Song of the Year title, while he was also recognized as the Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste of the Year. His album ‘True to Self’ further solidified his success by clinching the Album of the Year award.
Meanwhile, Stonebwoy celebrated his victories in the Best Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year category, alongside winning the Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year for his track ‘Psalm 23’ and the Best Music Video of the Year.
