The former Executive Director of the National Service Authority (NSA), Osei Assibey Antwi, is under scrutiny as investigations into the ghost names scandal deepen.
Mr. Assibey appeared before the National Investigations Bureau (NIB) on Thursday, March 20, after receiving an official invitation.
Accompanied by his lawyer, he faced hours of interrogation over the alleged fraudulent inclusion of non-existent personnel on the NSA’s payroll.
The status of his release remains undisclosed.
The investigation, sparked by a revealing exposé from The Fourth Estate, has uncovered significant payroll irregularities within the national service scheme.

The NIB’s probe has already seen two former deputy directors—Gifty Oware Mensah and Kwaku Ohene Djan—interrogated for their possible roles in the scheme.
