An update to Google’s Android Find My Device app now allows users to see contacts who are sharing their location with them.
According to 9to5Google, Google is rolling out a feature update for the Find My Device app that displays a map of friends and family members who share their location. This new feature was introduced in the March Android update last week and is becoming available to more users.
Previously, friends and family could see each other’s shared locations in Google Maps. Now, the Find My Device app serves a dual purpose, making it easier to locate both items and people in one place. The map also includes the locations of friends sharing their whereabouts from Google Maps on iOS.

In the Android app, users can tap the new “People” tab to view the locations of contacts sharing their location. There’s also an option to see who you’re sharing your location with, along with settings to adjust the duration of sharing.
The updated interface resembles Apple’s Find My app, featuring a similar split-screen design that displays a map on top and either devices or people below, depending on whether you’re viewing items or individuals.
