The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced that parts of the country will experience temporary power outages on March 11 and 12, 2025, as it embarks on scheduled maintenance to upgrade and stabilize its power distribution systems.
The company says the planned exercise is part of efforts to enhance reliability and ensure more efficient electricity delivery to homes and businesses across various regions.

Maintenance Schedule and Affected Areas
Tuesday, March 11, 2025
- Volta Region:
Tsito and nearby communities will face outages between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. - Ashanti Region:
Two separate maintenance exercises are scheduled:- From 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, areas including Darko, Bebu, Ampabame No. 2, Trede, Sabin Akroform, and parts of Pakyi No.2 will experience interruptions.
- From 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, power will be cut in Atwima Agogo, Abuakwa, Mankranso, Kunsu, Sepaase, Nkawie, Afari, Abakomade, Kasapreko, Nerebehi, and parts of Tanoso, among other communities.

- Greater Accra Region:
Areas such as Pokuase Pharmacy, Ayawaso, Amanfrom, Nsakina, Agbogba, and Pantang Royal will be without power from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. - Tema Region:
High Tension, Golf City, Community 17, Fafali, Cambodia, HFC Estates, and surrounding neighborhoods will be affected from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The ECG has apologized for the inconvenience the outages may cause and has encouraged affected residents and businesses to plan ahead. The utility provider emphasized that the maintenance works are crucial to long-term service improvements and thanked customers for their patience and cooperation.
