The Institutional Affiliation Office of the University of Cape Coast has received keys to a new office complex in a short handing-over ceremony at Akotokyir-Kakumdo.
The complex will primarily house the Institutional Affiliation Office which is a section under the Directorate of Academic Affairs.
The ultra-modern office-complex has amenities such as a 350 – seater auditorium, kitchens, a lounge for guests, washrooms for persons with disabilities and a room to be used as an on-site daycare for staff with children.
The project, whose construction began in 2022, is a three-story edifice with rain-harvesting facilities.
Speaking to ATL FM News after the ceremony, the Head of the Institutional Affiliation Office, Dr. Justice Agyenim – Boateng explained the significance of the new office complex to the operations of the Office.
“Currently we are accommodated at the adjoining offices at the New Examination Centre (NEC). This project is just to create space for our staffand the University.”
In his remarks, Dr. Agyenim-Boateng acknowledged the tireless efforts and contributions of past and present University management for the success of the completion of the office-complex.
The ceremony was graced by officials of the College of Education Studies, the Directorate for Physical Development and Estate Management (DPDEM) and members of staff of the Institutional Affiliation Office.
The Institutional Affiliation Office (IAO), under the Directorate of Academic Affairs (DAA), coordinates activities of academic institutions affiliated to the University of Cape Coast (UCC). The Office works closely with Colleges/ Faculties/Schools/Departments in the University of Cape Coast to provide mentorship services to its affiliate institutions.
Their vision is to position the University of Cape Coast as the preferred destination of quality academic mentorship.
