Was the music video shoot for Kofi Mole actually ghosted by Sarkodie? The rapper responds by denouncing false information.
Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has vehemently refuted claims made by filmmaker Yaw Skyface that the award-winning performer declined to take part in the Makoma music video shoot, which was a joint effort with Kofi Mole.
Sarkodie vehemently disputed the charges in a social media post, advising Yaw Skyface and the press to refrain from tarnishing his name.
“Yaa momma me din nda kakra me srɛ mo,” he wrote, which translates to Allow my name to rest, I’m pleading with you.“
“I have no idea about this, and if it actually happened, there was a miscommunication somewhere. I’m only responding to this because I’ve got love for my superstar Kofi Mole. I don’t play games … I’m in or not.”
The controversy started when Yaw Skyface said in an appearance on Hitz FM that Sarkodie had missed two planned Makoma video shootings.
Known for songs like “Don’t Be Late” and “Nirvanna,” which featured Kwesi Arthur, Kofi Mole had earlier voiced great expectations for the 2020 partnership with Sarkodie and Bosom P-Yung. But Makoma fell into oblivion after failing to live up to expectations.

A fan recently rekindled the conversation on social media by blaming inadequate promotion for the song’s lack of popularity. On X, the fan tweeted:
“One day ago organise Kanta boys make we put Kofi Mole for table we lash am … promo no enter this song inside koraaa … you made a whole Sarkodie turn Bruno Mars.“
This statement highlighted Sarkodie’s choice to use his vocal abilities in the song and deviate from his typical rhyming style. Although the problem of its unsatisfactory reception still exists, Kofi Mole responded by disputing allegations that he neglected to promote Makoma.
