With blessings for both Mahama and Bawumia during their visits, prophet Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah stirs controversy despite claiming divine foreknowledge of Ghana’s 2024 election outcome. His objectivity and prophetic honesty are questioned by both congregants and detractors.

Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah, the general overseer of the Believers Worship Center, asserted that he had predicted the results of Ghana’s general elections in 2024 as early as 2008.

He claims that even when presidential contenders came to his church, he purposefully kept the prophesy hidden from the public, stating that the moment was not right to reveal the vision.

“Long before the elections, I made predictions regarding growth and success. It would be wiser for me to divulge this secret after the elections. Since 2008, I have been aware of the results of this election. I am aware of what will occur over the next sixteen years even as I stand here. I have had to conceal a lot of things because, despite their devotion for God, Ghanaians do not truly understand Him. I wouldn’t claim that God opened my eyes now since I’ve been seeing this result since 2008,” he said.

According to Prophet Kyei-Duah, he provided oblique clues as each flagbearer visited his church:

“I said, ‘I have seen something,’ when one of them came to Accra. When the other came to Kumasi, I too remarked, “I have seen something.” What is the difference between what is usually heard and what is seen? I said that this year will be a year of confirmation before 2024 arrived. “Ghanaians are a people who could lose their lives if you are not careful and deliberate in your actions,” he continued.

Additionally, he praised the winning political party and considered the number eight’s symbolic meaning:

“The party that won the elections is blessed. I am the prophet of the eighth generation. I am the ninth child of my parents. He pointed out that the winning party was listed as number eight on the ballot.

The Visit of Mahama

NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama paid a visit to the Believers Worship Centre on his birthday, accompanied by Professor Joshua Alabi and Elvis Afriyie Ankrah. Mahama gave the church GH₵50,000, which the congregation gratefully accepted.

During a prayer session for Mahama, Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah held his hands and said:

“Go for your testimony.”

The prophet went on to say:

“One will always prevail when two people compete. God’s chosen one is the victor. The winner will be my president since I am God’s representative. Something I saw is too heavy for me to express. I will immediately meet them and speak with Papa (Mahama).

The Visit of Bawumia

Along with his running mate Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO) and important NPP members Adwoa Safo and Wontumi, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia also paid a visit to Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah’s church.

With NAPO contributing an extra GH₵50,000, Bawumia’s team doubled Mahama’s donation with GH₵100,000.

Prophet Kyei-Duah covered Bawumia in a precious Tallit prayer shawl during a period of intensive prayer and said:

“Go give your testimony! “Go for it!”

Following the prayers, Bawumia heard Kyei-Duah whisper:

“I heard a voice when we were praying. We’ll meet after the service, and I’ll share what I heard with you.”
