Nollywood actress Stella Damasus has commemorated her late husband, Jaiye Aboderin, two decades after his untimely passing.
Aboderin, who died in 2004 after five years of marriage to Damasus, was honored in an emotional ceremony. Sharing the experience on Instagram, the actress revealed that she and her family returned to his final resting place to pay their respects.
Damasus explained that their now-grown children had expressed a desire to honor their father’s legacy, making the occasion especially poignant.
She conveyed her gratitude for the strength to navigate the day and thanked her family and friends for their steadfast support.

She wrote: “Today marks exactly 20 years since my husband, Jaiye Aboderin, passed away. Two decades later, with his children now grown enough to honor his legacy, we revisited the same place together.
“It wasn’t easy to get through this, but I’m thankful to God for the strength to endure. My heartfelt thanks to my family and friends who stood by us, as well as those who prayed and reached out, even if they couldn’t join us.
“It is well with us. Jaiye remains forever in our hearts. May his soul continue to rest in peace.”
