According to a statement released by Meta on Sunday, the social network Threads currently boasts 275 million monthly active users (MAUs).
We surpassed 275 million monthly active users on @Threads yesterday. We sincerely appreciate everyone’s assistance in getting us thus far. Adam Mosseri, the Meta executive in charge of Threads and Instagram, stated, “There is something exciting about this place, but there is a lot more to do and plenty of things to fix.”

Launched in July 2023 to take advantage of the millions of users that left X after Elon Musk acquired the platform, Threads has quickly grown to become one of the largest text-first social networks. The platform grew 75 million active users in just three months, reaching the 150 million MAU milestone in April and the 200 million MAU milestone in August.
During the company’s Q3 2024 post-results conference call last week, Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, stated that one million individuals sign up for Threads every day.
Although the number of users on the network is increasing, Threads is having a lot of moderating problems that have irritated users.
