CEO of State Transport Corporation (STC) and Vice-chair of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign, Nana Akomeah has shared his opinions on Dr. Bawumia’s ongoing campaign emphasizing that the NPP would break the eight.
Speaking on JOYNEWS, Nana Akomeah indicated that former president John Mahama’s selection of the eighth position on the ballot sheet fits into the strategy of the NPP, given their ongoing claim to break the eight.
According to him, Dr. Bawumia is campaigning more than any other candidate.
“He is doing three constituencies a day. I don’t know of any candidate who is doing three constituencies a day. His wife, Samira has opened another front and the running mate has also opened a third front and we are planning a fourth front.”
“I won’t disclose now but when it starts, we will see but I am one of the main actors of that fourth front. It’s a major front that you would see. We are campaigning the hardest,” he continued.
Nana Akomeah expressed that arguably the NPP flagbearer, Bawumia’s campaign message has proven to be more effective than that of the opposition NDC.
He emphasized that Dr. Bawumia presents more practical strategies for stabilizing the economy.’
According to him, the Bawumia administration “would change the law that bases a deficit on the revenue projection to make the projection based on actuals the previous year’s revenue. We would cut expenditure by farming a lot of public expenditure now to the private sector.”
