Before the elections on December 7, dancehall superstar Shatta Wale has counseled his followers to cast educated ballots.
During his performance at the just concluded Ghana Report Concert at Independence Square, the singer of “Killa Ji Mi” made this call.
Shatta Wale halted his exciting performance to talk with his supporters, asking them to exercise prudence and not make hasty decisions when casting their ballots.
He issued a warning to his followers not to be seduced by political ploys and empty platitudes that political parties regularly employ to win over people.

“If you’re going to vote, please be wise about it. Don’t fall for any fanfooling. I don’t want you to vote for some party and later come complaining. Vote wisely,” he said.
Before casting their ballots, Shatta Wale, who has consistently taken a politically impartial stance, advised his followers to evaluate the platforms and voting histories of political candidates.
He pleaded with them to think for the good of the nation while making decisions, not just to go with the flow or give in to empty promises.
