The Ghana Education Service says the Electoral Commission has given an assurance to extend its voter registration exercise in Senior High Schools and TVET institutions.
The Ghana Education Service in a press release issued on 13th July 2020 is, therefore, urging Senior High Schools who “were originally earmarked as registration centres to arrange with the Electoral Commission officials to register eligible students when it is their turn to register.”

Some students could not register for their voter card on the last day of the 2-day exercise after the EC machines used for the registration, timed out. The machines according to the Commission has been programmed to seize operations after 6pm.
The students who were already in the queue waiting for their turn, to register were denied. The extension of the exercise by the EC is expected to address all these challenges.
