Telecel Ghana has honored two of its loyal customers, Madam Irene Esi Duncan from Cape Coast and Mr. Andy Annobil from Takoradi, for their participation in the company’s highly successful “More Money Promo.”

The promotion, designed to reward subscribers for their continued support, saw the two winners walk away with impressive cash prize of 30,000.00 each.

The “More Money Promo,” which started from 10th July 2024 and will end in October encouraged Telecel customers to recharge their phones and purchase data bundles to earn entries into a weekly draw.

All Telecel users, including mobile, prepaid, fixed and business customers are eligible to participate in the Telecel More Money Promo for a chance to win daily and weekly cash rewards and the grand prize of GH¢1 million.

The promotion was part of Telecel Ghana’s effort to give back to its customers and strengthen its relationship with users across the country.

Madam Irene Esi Duncan, a small business owner in Cape Coast, expressed her excitement upon receiving her cash prize.

According to her, she never expected to win when she joined the promo.

She expressed her appreciation to Telecel for this amazing surprise. Adding that the money will help her grow her business and take care of my family.

Similarly, Mr. Andy Annobil from Takoradi shared his delight at being named one of the lucky winners.

Mr. Andy Annobil

“Honestly, I’m really, really excited. Initially, when I was called, I was having mixed feelings because it was a shock to me. I never expected it but I’m really happy for this amount of money,” he stated.

An elated Annobil stated that the reward had come at the right time for him as he would use the money to completed his education.

He said “so, I completed my first degree two years ago and I’ve been in the house trying to work at home. I want to further my education in my master’s degree”.

According to him, using his Telecel Fiber broadband on a daily basis propelled him to enter the promo and the result is the reward he had received.

“So, anytime that I log into the Telecel Play app, I see their promo code there that there’s this promotion going about. I don’t really pay attention to that. So, one day, I was there and I guess something told me that just click it because when I read through their terms and conditions, they told me that it was free. I don’t need to pay anything. That’s when I entered this promotion and then, God being so good, I was able to win this amount of money” he indicated.

He urged those who have not entered into the promo to do so as the rewards are enormous.

“I would like to tell those who are out there that haven’t subscribed to this promotion that this promotion is very real and everybody’s standing a chance of winning”, said Mr. Annobil.

Speaking to ATL FM NEWS, Telecel Ghana Executive Head of the Western and Central Regions, Mr. Kwame Baah highlighted the importance of the promotion during the prize presentation ceremony, stating, the ‘More Money Promo’ is one of the many ways we show appreciation for their loyalty.

Mr. Kwame Baah

“We believe that we need not be just always taking, but also to give back to our customers. And this is one of the ways that we do it. And this is the first time we are giving cash to customers”.

He noted that every day, Telecel is giving out 100 cedis to 150 customers adding that the promo is a 90-day programme.

He further stated that for every week, two to four people will win 30,000.00 each with a lucky winner winning 1,000.000.00 at the grand draw.

“We’re giving this promotion so that anybody at all can enjoy. If you come in and you opt into it, dial *500#, you will be part of it, and you can win. And it’s not a matter of buying one, but you can buy continuously. The more you buy, your chances of winning will be higher.

He indicated that the promo is a way of appreciating the customers of Telecel for their effort and their timing for being with the brand.

“All this, we feel that they’ve been very supportive to us. And this, we’re giving it to them to say thank you”, he said.

He emphasized that the promo is not a scam and urged all users of the network to participate in the promo.

“What I want to tell them is that, they shouldn’t think it is not real. It is real. We want all our customers to participate” he intimated.
