The running mate of the NDC, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has eulogized the former president as someone who prioritizes truth over lies.
She says the flagbearer of the NDC is a person who does not give false promises but is a capable, highly competent, truthful, and respectful leader.
Speaking at the official launch of the NDC National Campaign, the running mate of John Mahama in the 2024 Presidential election, Prof. Opoku- Agyemang urged Ghanaians to consider these attributes of Mr. Mahama to cast their votes and elect him in the 2024 December election to lead the country.
According to her, Ghana needs a leader who is honest and truthful and has been tried and tested like the flagbearer of the NDC.
“He might not have been perfect, but we all know that he did the best he could for everyone. And this is the time I want to thank the entire northern section of our country for giving the NDC for giving Ghana a person who prioritizes truth over lies. We have tried him”, she said.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang added that former President Dramani Mahama has thought very long and hard about the problems confronting the nation and is coming up with new proposed policies that win inure to the benefit of the country.
“He has been in government before and has handled this country before. He has been off the radar. He has reflected on what is going on and he’s coming up with new policies.
“Don’t compare his achievements with what the current government is giving us. It’s like comparing cassava to oranges or cassava to lemon. There’s no commonality among them”.
Prof. Naana Opoku-Agyemang called on every Ghanaian to vote massively for the NDC and support the former president to come and rescue the country from its current status.
She notes, “We are very happy and grateful that His Excellency did not give up on this country, but that he’s willing to put himself forth again to rescue this country. And this time we must all ensure that when he’s done the hard work, when all of us have supported him in doing the hard work, this country does not return to such a status again. And we are counting on all of us to ensure that we redeem this country, rescue this country, stabilize this country, and make us all proud Ghanaians”.
