The National Service Scheme (NSS) has initiated a recruitment drive for Post National Service graduates and youths to serve as volunteers for six months.
According to them, this initiative is aimed at addressing unemployment issues among the youth in Ghana and the numerous applications for employment opportunities to the secretariat.
Following a release issued and signed by Paul Appiah Owusu, the Director of Administration at the National Service Scheme on 18th July 2024, the NSS explained that the recruitment will focus on various areas of employment including health, sanitation, education as well as other sectors in line with the government’s ability to promote environmental health and sustainable development.
The release also highlights that an online application system is being developed and will be operational soon on the Scheme’s website for interested persons, enabling easy selection of eligible applicants.
The Scheme therefore encouraged all regional directors, district directors and heads of departments to spread awareness among potential candidates in their regions and assist them with the necessary guidelines during the registration process.
