Police prosecutors at the Asokore Mampong District Court have disclosed that they are currently awaiting guidance from the Attorney General’s Office in the legal proceedings involving popular actor Kwadwo Nkansah, known as Lil Win.
Lil Win, who was arrested on Monday, June 3, 2024, has been granted bail of GH¢50,000 with two sureties by the court.
His arrest stems from his involvement in a vehicular accident resulting in the tragic death of a three-year-old boy.

Following the incident, the family of the deceased intensified their calls for justice.
The police initially attributed delays in Lil Win’s arrest to his health condition.

However, the prosecution has since submitted a case file to the Attorney General’s Office and is now awaiting further instructions.

According to Lil Win’s counsel, Nana Bonsu Kyeretwie, their next course of action hinges on the advice provided by the Attorney General’s Office.
“The prosecution must substantiate their case before we can respond to any allegations raised by the police. At present, we are solely awaiting the Attorney General’s guidance as per their mandate,” stated Nana Bonsu Kyeretwie.
The court has adjourned the case until July 29, 2024.
