Legendary Ghanaian Gospel musician, Yaw Sarpong of Asomafo Band fame has revealed that he and Pinamang have been divorced for about 20 years ago.
On Friday, June 21, 2024, his wife, Maame Pinamang alleged that Yaw Sarpong was having an extra marital affair with his backup singer, Adwoa Tiwaa, and that was why she had been sidelined from his life.
She made these scathing allegations on Auntie Naa’s show on Oyerepa FM.
During the emotionally intense part, Aunty Naa reached out to Tiwaa to hear her perspective.

Tiwaa vehemently refuted any romantic ties with Yaw Sarpong, asserting that their connection is strictly professional and platonic.
However, the conversation escalated when Maame Pinamang interjected during Tiwaa’s explanation, making accusations and using offensive language.
Adding to the tension, Pinamang implied that Tiwaa had employed spiritual methods to sway Yaw Sarpong, suggesting she practiced witchcraft.
Currently, Yaw Sarpong is battling a stroke and is receiving care at the New Jerusalem Chapel of Bishop JY Adu in Kumasi.

Despite his health challenges, his wife has accused his family of excluding her from his treatment decisions.
In a turn of events, the veteran Gospel musician, has finally come out to debunk the claims made by his wife.
Yaw Sarpong made this revelation on the premises of the New Jerusalem Chapel of Bishop JY Adu in Kumasi, which was streamed live on social media.
According to Yaw Sarpong, who made these revelations, he stated that Adwoa Tiwaa has been a solid pillar during his difficult moments and that he and his wife, Pinamang have been divorced for over 20 years.
“I want to set the records straight. Maame Pinamang and I have been divorced for about 20 years,” he stated.
According to the “Wo haw ne sen” lead singer, these allegations are hurtful especially knowing how well Tiwaa has been so helpful to him in these difficult moments of his life.
“The allegations being made are not only false but hurtful. Tiwaa has been nothing but a dedicated backing singer and a trusted colleague.
