The highly awaited track “KILOS MILOS,” by Ghanaian genre-defying recording artist Black Sherif, was released today, June 19, through his record label, RBA/Empire.

After weeks of teasers on his social media accounts, the song is now accessible on all major streaming services.

“Kilos Milos” is gaining recognition from fans and creating a stir in the music business thanks to its memorable hooks and meaningful lyrics.

Black Sherif’s standing as one of the most promising musicians in Africa is further cemented by the prospect of the song being another chart-topping hit.

Acclaimed for his distinct fusion of Afrobeat and Hip Hop, Black Sherif never fails to enthrall listeners with his unadulterated poetry. His artistic ability is on display in “Kilos Milos,” where he delivers potent verses layered over a captivating production that is praised by Kwame Agger and Joker Nharnah. This comes after his well-received street anthem “Shut Up” was released.

This year marks the release of Black Sherif’s sophomore album, which he has been hinting to constantly. He recently headlined Afrofuture, one of the largest festivals in Africa, after winning the Best Hip Hop and Hip Life Artiste title at the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards.

Recognized as the second most streamed artist worldwide on Audiomack in 2023, Black Sherif continues to defy expectations and pave new paths for African music to be heard on a global scale.

Black Sherif, whose real name is Mohammed Ismail Sharif Kwaku Frimpong, was born in Konongo, a small town rich in minerals in Ghana’s Ashanti Region. Despite all odds, Black Sherif has become the largest celebrity in the nation.

Showcasing his wordplay, narrative, and linguistic dexterity, he crosses the gap between Afrobeats, highlife, and Ghanian drill while embracing a varied musical palette.

Black Sherif rose to prominence on the global scene with the breakthrough hits “First Sermon” and “Second Sermon” in 2021, and in 2022, “Kwaku The Traveller” elevated him to superstar status.

With the release of The Villain I Never Was, his debut album in 2022, Black Sherif cemented his status as one of the most potent artistic voices in Africa.

Due to his enormous global streaming numbers, he became the most played artist from Ghana in 2022 and 2023 on Spotify and the most streamed artist from Ghana in history on Boomplay, a well-known African streaming platform.

Black Sherif, a key member of the front runners propelling African music across the globe, has achieved these apex in record time.
