The stagecraft was finished in less than a week, according to Elizabeth Efua Sutherland, the creative director behind Stonebwoy’s amazing performance at the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards [TGMA].
Many in attendance at the 25th TGMA complimented Stonebwoy’s outstanding performance and showered appreciation on the creative director of the amazing spectacle.
The “Manodzi” crooner’s incredible performance, which dominated social media during the awards ceremony, stole the show for the evening.
During the weekend, Efua Sutherland revealed in a ChannelOne TV interview that she was contacted later than anticipated regarding Stonebwoy’s stagecraft.
“This was less than a week…We got the call quite late… I normally put such an act within 6 weeks…It’s great to see people appreciate the hard work,” she noted.
The creative director expressed her appreciation for working with “conscious artistes,” a trait she believes Stonebwoy possesses.

Efua Sutherland is carrying on the literary, dramatic, and poetic traditions of her late grandmother, the renowned Efua Theodora Sutherland.
On Saturday, June 1, 2024, the 25th TGMA took place at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
A large number of celebrities attended the event and showcased their fashion sense.
In addition to winning the coveted “Artiste of the Year” title and being named the artist with the most prizes that evening (six), Stonebwoy, whose true name is Livingstone Etse Satekla, commanded the stage with his live band.
The legendary Afro-Dancehall/Reggae performer played songs such as “Your Body,” an unreleased tune, and “Manodzi,” which features multiple Grammy Award-winning vocalist Angélique Kidjo.
In addition to winning Songwriter of the Year, Record of the Year, and Artiste of the Year for the second time, Stonebwoy also took home three more honors.
