The Electoral Commission has ruled out having any connection with a viral video depicting a man stuffing ballot papers into a ballot box in an enclosed Polling Station area.
In a statement, the commission emphasized that the video has no connection with the just-ended Ejisu by-election.
According to the EC, the video features several inconsistencies and bears no resemblance to the operations of the EC.
The commission cited such inconsistencies including vests of various colours, an enclosed polling station and the lack of security measures.
EC explained that its operations at the Ejisu by-election were sited in open polling stations, had one labelled ballot box and with at least 6 police officers in addition to the Agents of the Candidates.
The commission has therefore asked the public to ignore the video which went viral on social media as they believe it aims at tarnishing the image of the commission.
