It has been announced that Akuamoah Osei-Boateng, a well-known composer of chorale music from Ghana, passed away on saturday, April 6, at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
The renowned composer is recognized for his work on well-known choral pieces, including “Gyatabruwaa,” “Yesu ka wo ho,” and “Yehwe wo.”
The choral community has been severely hit by his passing, and other choirs, including Harmonious Chorale, have expressed their sorrow.
Choral Music TV, a program devoted to promoting choral music, also shared on Facebook yesterday the news of Mr. Osei-Boateng’s passing.
