Black Sherif, the reigning VGMA Artiste of the Year, is urging members of the music community and industry stakeholders to put more effort into working together rather than blaming others for Ghanaian music’s lack of international recognition.

The multi-award winning musicians made a brief statement during a recent stakeholder engagement hosted by the Ministry of Information. The purpose of the engagement was to get feedback from creatives and other players in the creative space for the promotion of the #playghana initiative. They emphasized the importance of industry unity and discouraged rivalries and conflicts among stakeholders.
