Hezron Clarke, a well-known reggae singer, has praised Ghanaian reggae/dancehall star Stonebwoy, calling him the only act from Ghana that he is familiar with and asserting that he is more popular in Jamaica than any other Ghanaian artist.
Hezron Clarke, who is in Ghana till January 2024, highlighted Stonebwoy along with other major African musicians like Davido and Burna Boy in a recent interview on Asempa FM.

He emphasised, “I only know about Stonebwoy and some Afrobeats stars like Davido and Burna Boy. It’s only Stonebwoy I hear of in Jamaica; he’s very popular.”
After expressing his appreciation for Stonebwoy’s worldwide popularity, Clarke disclosed that he planned to work with Ghanaian musicians while he was there. He declared, “I’m supposed to work with Wutah Afriyie and Ras Kuuku,” and mentioned that he also has music video shoots in Ghana scheduled.
Renowned for his unique blend of Dancehall and reggae, Stonebwoy has clearly established a noteworthy niche for himself, garnering the interest and respect of global music luminaries such as Hezron Clarke.
Among others, he has worked with Shaggy, Keri Hilson, Sean Paul, and Angelique Kidjo.
