In a significant step towards improving operational efficiency and enhancing user experience, the University of Cape Coast has officially commissioned its state-of-the-art Cash Office at the Emmanuel Adow Obeng Building Complex at its North Campus.

The new Cash Office is not merely a service point; it is a critical component of the University’s overall strategy to advance administrative excellence.

The facility aims to serve as a one-stop shop for all cash-related transactions, including tuition fee payments, financial aid disbursements, and expense reimbursements, among others.

The commissioning of the office brings to an end a 61-year reign of the old cash office at the south campus as this new development aims to offer students, faculty, and staff an optimized financial experience on campus.

For students, the Cash Office promises to expedite financial processes.

In a brief remark at the commissioning, the Director of Finance, Mrs. Elizabeth Obese said management thought it wise to relocate the office to the complex since the office forms an integral part of the directorate of finance.

She expressed appreciation to the management of the university for ensuring that the new office became a reality.

“We have longed for this place for the past three years. And so, we thank the Vice Chancellor, Professor Johnson Nyarko Boampong, and his management team for making this a reality” she added.

Commissioning the office, the Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Rosemond Boohene stated that the old cash office had become dilapidated and was not fit to offer its services as a cash office of the university.

“It was on this backdrop that management of the University thought it wise to relocate the office,” she said.

She explained that the remodelling of the office had been concluded and ready for use.

The Pro-Vice Chancellor however said the office has become a reality following the University’s staff contributions in diverse forms to make the complex a possibility.

The Pro-vice Chancellor was assisted by the Registrar, Director of Finance, the Cash Officer and Prof. Rev. Kankam Boadu to cut the ribbon to officially open the office.
