Ten more persons infected with coronavirus have died increasing the country’s death toll of eighty-five (85) to ninety-five (95).
Director General of the Ghana Health, Dr. Patrick Kuma Aboagye said this at the Minister’s press briefing on coronavirus. He said while 24 cases across the country are severe; six persons are in critical condition and five (5) persons currently on ventilators.
Also, 414 new cases have been recorded, taking the total case count to 14, 568. The active cases however are 3,566 while recoveries have increased to10, 906 after 434 persons more people recovered.

According to the Director General, the 414 new cases were recorded from twenty-five districts in three regions. Out of the number, the Greater Accra Region had 332 cases from 9 districts; the Ashanti Region recorded 55 cases in 12 districts while 27 cases were recorded in 3 districts in the Eastern Region.
He explained that 6,019 of the cases were found through general surveillance while 8,549 were through enhanced contact tracing and testing.
The Greater Accra Region has the highest number of cases. So far, it has recorded 8,075. The Ashanti Region comes second with 2,812 while the Western Region places third with 1,148. The Central Region has 794, and places fourth on the regional distribution table.
