The Police have arrested the chief of New Akrofuom in the Ashanti Region’s Adansi Asokwa district on charges that he tried to sodomise a 17-year-old boy.
According to eyewitnesses, the traditional head of the village entered the young boy’s chamber with the goal of indulging in the act with him, but the little boy notified other members of the community.
Sensing danger, the chief left the scene, but the villagers went to his house and tried to lynch him.
The event occurred in the early morning hours of Monday, October 23.
Upon their arrival at the Chief’s house, police officers apprehended the suspect.

The Assemblyman, Emmanuel Achirem of the New Akrofuom electoral constituency disclosed that the chief has been charged with similar misconduct in the past.
