The recently elected Chairperson of the Central regional Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Clarence Ekow Pietersen Junior, known as King Pee, has criticized her predecessor, Nana Ekua Apeatsewah II, popularly known as Queen Wan, for her inadequate leadership qualities.

King Pee was speaking on the Entertainment Zone in an exclusive interview when he revealed to Barrister Daniels, host of the show that Queen Wan lacked leadership qualities.

According to King Pee, Queen Wan on some few occasions was verbally abuses some of the members, he also indicated that she hardly availed herself to the members but rather championed meeting on social media.

King Pee in a jubilant mood after winning the elections

“Queen Wan lacks leadership qualities. I am not saying this to disgrace her, but just imagine that as a chairperson, you can insult people and even add that you don’t care about the members”. She was hardly found in the office and the office looked defunct. She would say if you want to meet me, link up on social media or come to my house”.

He also lamented her inability to also to draw the stakeholders in the industry together often leading to a divided front.

However, King Pee has also hinted that he is going to put in mechanisms to ensure that no Central Region artiste would perform for free and would rather make money from their talents and crafts.

After almost half a decade postponement of the elections at both regional and national levels, The Central Regional Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has finally elected a substantive President, Clarence Kenneth Ekow Peterson Jnr, affectionately referred to as ‘King Pee’ who beat off competition from Queen Wan.

MUSIGA has struggled to hold elections since 2019, after several legal tussles and other factors affected their ability to select new leaders. The exit of former President, Bice Osei Kuffour (Obour) in 2019 has marked some dark moments in the affairs of the Union.

‘King Pee’ until the election has been a renowned Artiste Manager in the Central Region and beyond, managing big names like Suzzy and Matt, Dada KD among many other top professionals in the music business.
