Some Ghanaian Celebrities have joined in the protest for Day 2 of the #OccupyJulorbiHouse demonstration.
The celebrities including Efia Odo, comedian SDK, and Kelvyn Boy have joined these protesters to protest for a better country and governance.
The demonstration, which started on Thursday, September 21, was disrupted after the police arrested 49 of the organizers and locked them up.
The arrest included a BBC reporter and his cameraman.
The protesters were arrested for unlawful assembly at the 37 bus terminal, where they had assembled for the protest. They were released on Thursday evening after their lawyers negotiated with the police.
They are protesting against the Government’s failure to resolve economic challenges, high cost of living, poor road infrastructure (#FixTheMotorWay), galamsey, and corruption among others.
On Friday morning, the protesters decided to continue their protests without hesitation and the Ghanaian celebrities joined in.
On Thursday, after the arrest of the protestors, scores of celebrities took to their Twitter handles to express their displeasure on the actions of the Ghana Holice Service.
Stonebwoy, Kidi, King Promise, Shatta Wale, black sheriff, and a host of others called to release the arrested persons.
