The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation Foundation (GNPC Foundation) has commissioned a 160 bed capacity dormitory and 24-seater sanitary facility at Mando Senior High Technical School, as well as the first phase of a five unit Science laboratory block for Bisease Senior High School all in the Central Region.
Aside these projects the foundation also commissioned another 32-seater sanitary facility at Ghana National College and a similar one at Ekumfi Abor all in the Central Region of Ghana.
Addressing the media at the sideline of the projects commissioning the Chief Executive Director of the GNPC Foundation, Dr. Dominic Kwesi Eduah said the projects is in tandem with one of the three core pillars of the foundation, environment and social amenities.
He said the Central Region has benefited enormously from GNPC Foundation projects ranging from education, economic empowerment to and health.
“GNPC Foundation as known is in to impacts lives and we are doing this through three pillars; education and training, environment and social amenities and economic empowerment. Here in Central Region in terms of our projects, I think we have given the region their fair share. six-unit classroom block I can mention about 11 of them, two Astro turfs, about 54 bole holes, today we have commissioned one girls’ dormitory at Mando Senior High Technical School and Five unit’s classroom block at Bisease Senior High School”.
He appealed to all brilliant but needy Ghanaian students to apply to the GNPC Scholarship for financial support to aid in pursuit of their academic goals.

In terms of our scholarships the first qualification is to be a Ghanaian and having completed Senior High School and gained admission then you can go to our portal and apply. After application there is a process it goes through for the selections to be done, interviews to be conducted and then the final list released”.
Dr. Dominic Eduah called for collaboration from all Ghanaians to help facilitate the smooth delivery of the foundation’s core mandate.
We started everything we are doing proactively to engage Ghanaians to let them know that the oil resources are being used to impact their lives. So, the classroom blocks, the scholarships we are given to students, 200 students studying in Cuba to become doctors, the artisan projects that we are doing. This is what GNPC Foundation is using the oil resources to do. We seek for the continuous support of Ghanaians; we co-exist to progress”, he indicated.
