Inflation for the month of March 2023 has considerably decreased to 45.0 percent.
Compared to the 52.8 percent recorded in February 2023, this indicates a 7.8 percentage point decrease in March Inflation.
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) data that the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) released on Wednesday reflected this.

According to the report, non-food inflation was at 40.6%, while food inflation was also 50.8%.
According to Government Statistician Prof. Samuel Kobina Annim, the fall shows the ongoing downward trend of inflation.
Only a few sub-groups recorded inflation during the period. The Western North region recorded the highest rate of inflation whilst the Volta region was the least.
