Former Trade and Industry Minister, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen has unveiled a Seven Point Agenda christened the Great Transformational Plan, (GTP) when he announced his Presidential Bid to Ghanaians.
This was through a National Televised Broadcast on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.
It would be recalled that Mr. Kyerematen resigned from his position as the Trade and Industry Minister to focus on his presidential ambition.
During his televised broadcast to Ghanaians on Tuesday evening, Alan Kyerematen popularly known as ‘Alan Cash’ indicated that he will pick the form when the NPP party opens nominations.
Delivering his address, he said when voted first, as the flag-bearer of the NPP and subsequently as President of the Republic in the next general elections, he will become a transformational leader who will build on the foundations laid by successive leaders of our nation.
“To achieve this strategic goal of transforming our dear country to become the shining star of the new Africa, I will as President, launch and lead the execution of the Great Transformational Plan (GTP) of Ghana which will span the period 2025 to 2030,” he continued.
According to him, in the next several months, the full details of the Great Transformational Plan will be revealed in a yet-to-be-introduced ‘Alan K Prime Talk Show’.
He said will also seek input from Ghanaians during his campaign tours across the districts and regions.

Mr. Kyerematen admitted the challenges with Ghana’s economy and the IMF bailout and pointed out that a new plan is needed to get Ghana out of its predicament going forward.
“To avoid going back to the IMF, we need a new Plan. A Plan that will lead us to a more self-reliant and resilient economy. That Plan must move Ghana from Stability and Growth to Transformation.” He said.
Mr. Kyerematen said he has some great ideas to transform the country and make life better for Ghanaians.
Agric Minister Resigns
In a related development, Minister of Agriculture Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto has resigned from his position.
He tendered his resignation letter to President Akufo-Addo after meeting with him at the Jubilee House on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.
Reports indicate that before his meeting with the president on Tuesday, Dr. Afriyie Akoto held a farewell party with the staff of the Ministry of Agriculture.
